Mures County
On the territory of Mures county there are 4 of the important vineyards in Transylvania, namely Târnave – Târnăveni, Târnave – Zagăr, Târnave – Sighișoara and Lechința – Batoș, with a cultivated area of over 900 hectares, with geographical indication Transilvania Hills. The Thematic Route The Wine Road passing through Adămuș, Băgaciu, Bahnea, Gănești, Mica, Suplac, Bălăușeri, Coroisânmartin, Fântânele, Nadeș, Viișoara, Zagăr, Acățari, Bereni, Crăciunești, Gălești, Gheorghe Doja, Hodoșa, Livezeni, Măgherani, Neaua, Păsăreni, Vărgata, Daneș, Saschiz, Albești, Vânători, Band, Ceuașu de Câmpie, Grebenișu de Câmpie, Mădăraș, Râciu, Șăulia, Sânpetru de Câmpie and Batoș, the localities that delimit the Wine Country today. The route is about 200 km and crosses 3 municipalities – Târnăveni, Sighișoara and Reghin the cities of Miercurea Nirajului and Sărmașu also 35 territorial administrative units UAT, each remarkable by its culture and traditions.
